The visual idea for this campaign, for a frequent flyer points card, was to shoot a series of aspirational travel destinations on a fisheye lens so that the curved horizon would look like a view from space. The campaign line was, 'there's more to life on Earth', and the copy talked about all the amazing parts of the planet you could visit by earning points on everyday spending. I was the art director on this campaign and I also volunteered to shoot the stills - a long story. I chose Santorini specifically for the view that, when shot on that lens, really brought the idea to life. And we had to go there to shoot it. Not many ideas demand a shoot in the Greek Islands. We also shot in New York, Udaipur, Phi Phi Island and the Southern Alps in New Zealand. Such dedication to the job. This was my first commercial shoot, and the reason I switched careers.
